Questions we hear most

Do I need a referral?

In Maryland, you can start without a referral. Your plan may still ask for one. If your dizziness is new or sudden, or came after a head injury, please see a doctor first.

Does my plan cover this, and do you take Medicare?

We bill many kinds of plans, including Medicare. Your plan decides what it pays. We check your benefits and call you before your first test.

What if I pay myself?

We give you a written estimate before your first test, and you pay for each visit on the day. We keep a few reduced-fee places, so ask the front desk.

How long is the first test, and who treats me?

About an hour and a quarter, with one of our two physical therapists for the whole time.

How many visits will I need?

That depends on what the test finds, how you respond to practice, your doctor's advice and how much you can do at home. We tell you what we expect as we learn it.

What should I wear and bring?

Clothes you can move in and flat shoes that stay on. Bring your list of medicines, your glasses, and anything your doctor has found.

Will the test make me dizzy?

Some of it can, for a moment. We work within what you can tolerate and stop when you tell us to.

Can I have a visit by video?

Some check-ins can be by video for people in Maryland, where we are licensed. The first test is in person.

What if I was hurt at work or in a crash?

Get emergency care first. Then tell us who your adjuster is. Your state decides who may direct your care.

Can I drive myself?

If you can, bring someone to drive you home. Some people feel tired or unsteady afterward. If you come alone, we wait until you are ready.
